 At the forthcoming SMM 2008 maritime exhibition from the 23rd to the 26th of September in Hamburg, Germany, Thrane & Thrane will present several brand-new products and solutions incl. the SAILOR 900 VSAT system, a standalone LRIT (Long Range Identification and Tracking) solution and the professional SAILOR SP3500 ATEX radios.
The unique stand layout will feature three distinct areas – the bridge area, crew cabin and headquarter’s office on shore - for demonstrating new applications and solutions made possible by the SAILOR 500 & 250 FleetBroadband.
For anyone looking to find out more about LRIT, a visit to the stand is also a must. LRIT will begin to be enforced at the end of 2008, yet many vessels may not be ready for it. At the stand, it will be possible to complete a LRIT compatibility test of existing equipment to determine if it meets the LRIT performance standards and regulations.
